Vattenfall reports profits rise in first half of 2024

Vattenfall reported a SEK3.3bn increase in underlying operating profit in the first half of 2024, driven by increased generation across the group. The chief executive, Anna Borg, highlighted a satisfactory performance with a rise in overall profit, boosted by the sale of wind farms to BASF and RWE. The company is focusing on streamlining initiatives and securing more synergies between operations.
