Vattenfall reported a 9% rise in its wind business's operating profit in Q1 2024 compared to Q1 2023. This increase to Skr2.6bn was primarily due to higher volumes and reduced costs, fueled by new and existing wind farms in Europe. Electricity generation surged by 32%, notably from the Hollandse Kust Zuid, Vesterhav Syd in Germany, and other sites. Sales transactions included the Norfolk Offshore Wind Zone's transfer to RWE, registering a significant capital gain. Key projects like the Vesterhav Nord and Windplan Blauw achieved operational milestones.
