Verbund starts up 50MW Spanish solar farm

Verbund Green Power, the Spanish subsidiary of the Austrian utility, has commissioned a 50MW solar plant in Manzanares, Ciudad Real, Spain. The facility covers 99 hectares and consists of 76,632 panels. The construction works were carried out by Lantania. Verbund Green Energy has a total renewable energy capacity in operation in Spain of 680MW, comprising wind power and solar power, with additional projects under construction and a portfolio of renewable energy plants at an advanced stage of development.
