Vestas bags 84-MW deal for Austrian wind repowering project

Vestas Wind Systems A/S has won a deal to deliver its hardware for a 84-MW repowering project of BE Energy GmbH in Austria. The project involves replacing 44 older wind turbines with 14 units of V150-6.0 MW machines in Neusiedl-Weiden wind energy park. Vestas will start delivering the turbines in Q2 of 2025 and commission them by the end of 2025 under a 25-year AOM 5000 agreement. This project is set to be Austria's largest wind repowering scheme.
