Vestas confirms 810MW order for Empire Wind 1

Vestas has confirmed an 810MW offshore order from Equinor to power New York’s Empire Wind 1 offshore wind project. The order includes 54 V236-15.0MW turbines and marks Vestas’ first order in the US for an offshore platform. Laura Beane, President of Vestas North America, expressed privilege in partnering with Equinor on this US project. Amy McGinty, Vice President of customer project execution at Vestas North America, emphasized the commitment to building a sustainable supply chain for the US offshore market.
