Viessmann launches air-water heat pump for larger residential, commercial buildings

Viessmann, a heating specialist based in Germany, has started industrial production of the Vitocal 250-A Pro large heat pump at its Berlin site. The heat pump is designed for residential, light commercial, and communal buildings with flow temperatures of up to 70°C. It generates up to 39.5 kW of heating output and has a cooling output of 21.7 kW. The system is known for its high coefficient of performance (COP) of 5.6 and low noise level of 60.9 dB(A) in noise-reduced operation. The indoor unit offers multiple heating/refrigeration circuits and hot water generation options with additional features for peak loads.
