Voith Hydro lands Cruachan 2 gig

Drax plans to build a 600MW pumped storage hydro plant, Cruachan 2, adjacent to its existing facility in Scotland. Voith Hydro is appointed for front end engineering and design. The project aims to strengthen the UK's energy security and enable more renewable electricity. Drax is also upgrading its existing plant by 40MW.
