Elli Group, the EV infrastructure and utility arm of Volkswagen, is entering the large-scale BESS market in Germany. They plan projects up to 350MW/700MWh, aiming to provide sufficient storage solutions for renewable energies. Elli is focused on becoming a holistic energy provider in Europe, managing EV charging infrastructure and energy products. They have launched a second life BESS using EV batteries, facilitating their entry into the large-scale energy storage space.
