Warehouse rooftop solar, batteries could unlock 28 GW in Australia

Nexa Advisory recommends measures to increase uptake of rooftop solar and battery energy storage systems in New South Wales' commercial and industrial sector to enhance grid reliability and capture a potential of 7 GW. The firm suggests schemes similar to STCs for systems beyond 100 kW or leveraging PDRS. Battery installations for C&I customers are found to be untapped, with a potential for 11.6 GW of distributed batteries in NSW over 20 years, focusing on warehouses as feasible locations.
