Water-source heat pump integrating cooled photovoltaic panels, thermal storage

A group of researchers led by Sapienza University of Rome developed a new water-source heat pump system integrating photovoltaic-thermal energy and thermal energy storage. The system aims to provide heating, cooling, domestic hot water production, and electricity using renewable energy sources. The researchers conducted simulations to optimize the system components for deployment in a social residential building in Palombara Sabina, near Rome, Italy.
