Welsh govt sets up publicly-owned renewables developer

The Welsh government has established a publicly-owned renewable energy developer, Trydan Gwyrdd Cymru, to accelerate renewables projects with a focus on onshore wind. Economy Secretary Jeremy Miles launched Trydan Gwyrdd Cymru aiming to develop 250 MW of new renewable energy capacity by 2030. The UK government plans to set up a new clean power company, Great British Energy. Jeremy Miles also announced the Welsh government's Heat Strategy for decarbonizing the heating sector.
