Western Australia has signed a Renewable Energy Transformation Agreement with the Federal government to support renewable energy generation technologies, particularly wind and solar projects with storage. The agreement aims to ensure grid stability during the transition period from coal-fired power stations to renewable energy. The government also plans for energy storage reserves to maintain the grid's stability. Additionally, Western Australia's first Capacity Investment Scheme tender has opened to secure clean dispatchable capacity.
