Wien Energie commissions 15-MW alpine solar park in Austria

Energy company Wien Energie GmbH has put into operation a 15-MW alpine solar park in the Austrian province of Styria. The facility in Ratten by the construction company Strabag consists of 26,433 PV modules on a slope generating green electricity for 5,000 households. Collaboration in renewable projects with Rattan includes wind turbines. Wien Energie plans a EUR 130 million investment in solar expansion in Styria between 2020 and 2030.
