Wind park powers directly Thyssenkrupp steel plant in Germany

Thyssenkrupp Steel's plant in Hagen becomes the first German industrial plant supplied with wind power via a direct connection to a nearby wind park. The Hohenlimburg wind farm's energy covers about 40% of the plant's annual electricity needs. Direct delivery from wind farms to industrial facilities reduces strain on public grids. Challenges in energy legislation remain.
