'Windiest part of the UK' could power nearly 500,000 homes. Power is flowing from the Shetland Isles to mainland Britain for the first time as the UK's most productive onshore windfarm, known as Viking, comes on stream. SSE's 103-turbine project can generate 443 megawatts of electricity.
