World Bank to back renewables integration in Namibia with USD 140m

The World Bank has approved a funding package of $138.5 million to help Namibia enhance its transmission network and support the integration of more renewable energy projects. Managed by NamPower, this fund will be used for a new transmission line, a utility-scale battery storage, and additional renewable power facilities. This initiative aligns with Namibia's goal to reduce power imports and leverage its renewable energy assets.
