X-Elio bags PPA with Google for 128 MW of Texas solar power

Spain-based renewables company X-Elio has secured Google LLC as the off-taker of all electricity generated by its 128-MW Bell solar farm in the US state of Texas. X-Elio has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Google for the direct delivery of Bell’s electricity to the internet giant. The Bell solar farm will also feature a 100-MW battery energy storage system to provide energy demand support round-the-clock. X-Elio is solidifying its position in the US renewable energy market.
