The German government is running a dynamic auction process for 2500MW of North Sea offshore wind sites after receiving 16 zero-cent offers. BNetzA will conduct rounds for 1.5GW N-11.2 and 1GW N-12.3 starting on June 17. Zero-cent bids have sparked the auction in the German tender process for wind farms. The bidding will continue until a winner is declared with prices starting at €30,000 per megawatt. The results of the tender are positive for the energy transition in Germany, with companies not needing funding to expand offshore wind energy.
