Danish clean energy company Ørsted A/S is selling its French onshore wind and solar business, Ostwind France, to Engie SA. The deal includes 54 MW of operational assets and 24 MW under construction, alongside a larger project pipeline. This divestment aligns with Ørsted’s strategic focus on other European markets such as the UK, Ireland, Germany, and Spain for onshore renewables development. The transaction is set to finalize in Q2 2024, post which Ørsted will exit the French market.
