5.5GW Aurora clears permitting hurdle

The County Administrative Board of Gotland recommends the Swedish Government grant a permit for OX2 and Ingka Investment's 5500MW Aurora offshore wind farm. Aurora, located in the Baltic Sea, could deliver over 6TWh annually initially by 2030 and up to 24TWh yearly by 2035. The wind farm supports the transition to net zero emissions in southern Sweden, focusing on sustainable energy production and biodiversity improvements.
