Artificial intelligence can detect toxicity of chemicals

Swedish scientists at Chalmers University of Technology and the University of Gothenburg have developed an artificial intelligence method to predict the toxicity of chemicals based on their molecular structure. This advancement potentially reduces the need for animal testing by providing a fast and cost-effective alternative. The AI has been compared favorably to existing computational tools and is expected to improve as more data becomes available.
