Less than a year after construction began, a 9.9 MW solar power plant was inaugurated in Saraorci, Serbia by AVR Group and PowerChina. The plant in Saraorci is the largest in the country. PowerChina also installed a facility near Lapovo last year. The investors plan to issue a digital token in the second phase. The electricity generated will be supplied to the distribution grid. Bojan Lazić from AVR Group stated that the plant will produce 15.1 GWh annually, sufficient for 2,400 households. The firm has a 300 MW portfolio and plans to build more PV plants. Yan Laihui from PowerChina Hubei mentioned increasing investments in renewables with the support of the Serbian government and Chinese embassy.
