BII backs Rift Valley Energy’s renewables pipeline in Tanzania

British International Investment (BII) to provide USD 15 million to Rift Valley Energy (RVE) for new renewable energy projects in Tanzania. Projects include wind and hydropower with a capacity of 7.6 MW. RVE owned by Meridiam operates renewable energy assets in Tanzania including Mwenga Wind farm.
