The total installed PV capacity in Sweden reached almost 4 GW. Borgholm, Sjöbo and Skurup are leading in solar energy. Solar installations are spreading in municipalities. Borgholm leads with 1,635 W of installed solar power per inhabitant. The CEO of Swedish Solar Energy, Anna Werner, emphasizes the need for streamlined permit processes and transparent electricity grid. Solar energy has significant potential in northern Sweden. Borgholm has more installed solar PV per capita than the Netherlands. Sweden aims for 30 TWh of solar energy by 2030.
