Californian offshore demo partners with utility

California's first offshore wind project, known as CADEMO, and California Community Power (CC Power), have established a memorandum of understanding to forward a 50MW wind project near Lompoc, aiming for operation by 2028. This initiative, set at Vandenberg Space Force Base, plans to integrate community considerations into its development and explore financial supports through grants. This collaboration seeks to advance renewable energy development and its adoption, boosting local jobs and addressing future large-scale offshore projects.
