Candi Solar Secures $38 million to support clean energy in Africa, Asia

Candi Solar, a Switzerland-based company, has secured $20 million of equity capital for its operations in Asia and Africa. The funds will be divided between Asian and African markets, with a focus on Africa. In South Africa, the company plans to deploy approximately 100 MW of solar capacity. Candi Solar specializes in commercial and industrial solar projects, focusing on rooftop and behind-the-meter installations. The company has invested in advanced technologies such as remote monitoring, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. Philippe Flamand, the director and co-founder, highlighted the importance of addressing load shedding and offering solar solutions to accelerate the use of clean energy across Africa.
