Cape Town selects contractor for 7-MW city-owned solar project

Cape Town has initiated the 7-MW Atlantis solar photovoltaic project, with construction expected to start in August. The Lesedi Technoserve Consortium has been chosen to handle the project after a tender process. The Atlantis solar farm will be city-owned and aims to address load-shedding and reduce electricity costs, while also helping the city meet its net-zero carbon goal by 2030.
