CEA-INES, Enel achieve 29.8% efficiency for tandem perovskite-silicon solar cell

Researchers at France's National Solar Energy Institute and Enel Green Power achieved a power conversion efficiency of 29.8% for a two-terminal tandem perovskite-silicon solar cell. The European Solar Test Installation certified the result. Enel's unit 3Sun is developing n-type heterojunction cells for a new solar module factory in Catania. Enel plans to offer more efficient solar modules based on tandem silicon-perovskite cells in the future.
