Chalcopyrite solar cell achieves 11.2% efficiency via silver alloying

Researchers at Uppsala University in Sweden have developed a high-efficiency chalcopyrite solar cell with silver alloying for improved grain growth and crystal quality. The solar cell achieved a record power conversion efficiency of 11.2%. The study focuses on utilizing transparent back contacts and different buffer layers to enhance the performance of CuGaSe2 solar cells.
