CIP launches Irish biogas partnership

Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), through CI Advanced Bioenergy Fund I, launched a partnership with Greengate Biogas to develop biogas plants in Ireland, focusing on using manure as feedstock. Greengate Biogas will produce 1.8TWh of biomethane per year, injecting it into the grid and recirculating organic fertilizers to farmers. Andreas F Brandt, partner at CIP, expressed excitement to enter the Irish bioenergy industry with Greengate Biogas to contribute to the green transition.
