Researchers from the University of Michigan have discovered that climate change could boost the economic value of residential rooftop solar panels by up to 20% by century's end in the U.S., particularly due to increased cooling needs and solar output. Analyzing data from 2,000 households in 17 cities, they projected rising advantages in locales with greater cooling needs and higher energy costs, especially Miami and Orlando. The findings suggest-enhanced strategic planning for future solar installations for households.
