Corio, Bord Gais Energy eye Irish offshore opportunity

Bord Gais Energy and Corio Generation are exploring opportunities to supply Ireland's electricity market with offshore wind power. They will assess opportunities in the offshore wind sector in Ireland through a newly-registered Irish company, Fuinneamh Og Teoranta. The partnership aims to contribute to Ireland's goal of generating 80% of electricity through renewables by 2030, including 5GW from offshore wind.
