EDF commissions utility-scale floating solar plant in France

EDF Renouvelables commissioned its first floating PV plant in France, a 20 MW facility near a hydropower dam in Lazer, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur. The project was selected by CRE in 2018 and will enhance power production alongside hydropower during summer. EDF plans to increase regional solar capacity to 85 MW by 2023.
