EDF wins Israeli PV tender with bid of $0.019/kWh

EDF Renewables, a unit of French energy giant EDF, has won the Israeli government's latest tender to build and operate a new 100 MW solar plant in Israel. The company set a record low price of ILS 0.07/kWh for the tender, showcasing the potential of renewable energy to lower electricity prices. The new plant will be constructed near Ashalim village under a public-private partnership agreement, with the aim of reducing production costs and easing the cost of living. EDF has previously completed several solar projects in the region, demonstrating its commitment to renewable energy.
