Researchers from the Mohamed First University and the Green Energy Park in Morocco investigated the effect of wind as a natural cooling agent on PV modules in hot desert climates. Their study showed that wind can significantly reduce the module temperature, improving electrical production and conversion efficiency. They found that windward blowing had a more efficient cooling effect than leeward blowing. These findings can help engineers better select hosting sites and design PV power plants in hot arid climates.
