EIB tenders for Morocco offshore wind studies

The European Investment Bank (EIB) has issued a tender to carry out studies in an area on Morocco's Atlantic coast for the country's first offshore wind project. Studies have shown that Morocco has a high potential for offshore wind along its Atlantic coast. The Moroccan Agency for Sustainable Energy (MASEN) plans to develop a project off the coast of Essaouira, with the objective of assessing feasibility through various studies including a feasibility study, complementary studies, and environmental and social impact assessment.
