Electricity prices continue recovery in Europe

During the fourth week of April, electricity prices increased across major European markets, led by declines in wind energy production and rising demand. Portugal, Spain, and France experienced the highest increases. Despite high percentage increases, prices in Portugal and Spain remained among the lowest. Negative electricity prices were recorded in several markets. Solar energy production increased in Germany, but forecasts predict a decrease in Spain and Italy, with a continued rise in Germany.
