Electricity prices continue to rise in most European markets

Electricity prices in European markets fluctuated in the first week of September. Prices rose in most major markets due to higher demand and decreased solar production. The Nordics were an exception with lower average prices. AleaSoft Energy Forecasting predicts a decline in prices in the second week of September. Solar energy production reached record highs in Spain and Portugal. Germany and Italy are expected to experience a decline in solar production.
