EnBW launches new French offshore subsidiary

EnBW has established a new subsidiary, EnBW Valeco Offshore SAS (EVO), to enter the French offshore wind market. EVO aims to participate in upcoming French offshore wind auctions, leveraging EnBW's financial strength and Valeco's onshore renewable energy expertise. The company is dedicated to offshore wind projects in France and is supported by both EnBW and Valeco. France has launched the AO9 call for tenders for 2.5GW capacity and plans to add 10GW by 2035 and 45GW by 2050. EnBW has a significant presence in France and collaboration with BP for wind farms off the British coast.
