Atlas Copco, a Swedish industrial equipment manufacturer, has signed a corporate power purchase agreement (PPA) with Engie SA, a French utility, to source electricity from the C-Power offshore wind farm in the Belgian North Sea. This agreement allows Atlas Copco to purchase 16 GWh of electricity annually for at least four years to power its smart factory in Wilrijk, Belgium. The wind farm, C-Power, is located on the Thornton Bank and is equipped with 54 Senvion turbines commissioned between 2009 and 2013.
