EU approves €19.6m wave demonstrator

The WEDUSEA project, co-funded by the EU Horizon Europe Programme and Innovate UK, aims to demonstrate wave energy technology through the development of the OE35 floating wave energy converter. OceanEnergy is leading this collaboration involving partners from several European countries to harness wave energy and generate electricity. Tony Lewis from OceanEnergy highlights the potential of wave energy as a renewable resource. The project is set to begin the demonstration phase at the EMEC test site in June 2025.
