EU gives thumbs up to 1-MW wave energy demo in Scotland

The EU has approved a project for a 1-MW floating wave energy converter developed by OceanEnergy. The project, named WEDUSEA, is co-funded by the EU Horizon Europe Programme and Innovate UK and involves partners from various countries. The converter will be demonstrated at the EMEC wave energy test site in Orkney, Scotland, with phases including design, demonstration, and commercialisation.
