Researchers at the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology conducted a techno-economic analysis on floating solar potential in Bangladesh. They assessed the viability of floating PV plants in seven artificial lakes across different regions. The study found that floating PV plants have superior generating capabilities compared to ground-mounted PV plants. The economic evaluation showed project viability, with levelized cost of energy ranging from $0.0341/kWh to $0.0486/kWh.
