Fluence starts US production of battery modules

Fluence Energy Inc has started domestic production of battery modules in Utah, incorporating cells from Tennessee to benefit from the Inflation Reduction Act's tax credit. The company aims to deliver US-manufactured energy storage solutions to support domestic content bonus tax credits and mitigate supply chain risks, especially with increased tariffs on Chinese imports. A partnership with Excelsior Energy Capital will see 2.2 GWh of energy storage projects using domestically manufactured systems across the US.
