France adds 601 MW of new PV systems in Q1

France's Ministry of Ecological Transition reported 601 MW of new PV systems connected to the French grid in January-March. Total new solar installations in 2022 reached 2.4 GW. France had 17.15 GW of cumulative installed PV capacity by March 2023, with regions like Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Grand Est contributing significantly. Queued solar projects with grid-connection requests grew by 40% to 18.5 GW, including 4.4 GW with signed agreements.
