France backpedals on retroactive FIT cuts for pre-2011, large-scale solar

The French government has decided to reverse a measure introduced in November 2020 that retroactively modified FIT contracts signed between 2006 and 2010 for PV plants above 250 kW. This decision was made following orders from the French Council of State on Jan. 26. The reversal allows owners of 436 solar power plants to receive the originally agreed-upon full tariffs established in the contracts.
