France may lower FIT threshold for rooftop PV from 500 kW to 100 kW

French DGEC has requested opinions from Enerplan and SER on measures to reduce public expenditures related to France's FIT scheme for rooftop solar. Options include creating a capacity cap or lowering the size limit to 100 kW. Enerplan and SER find these options contradictory to energy transition commitments. Despite criticism, the government aims to deploy 100 GW of PV by 2035.
