France records 1 GW of new solar for Q2

French grid operator Enedis reported connection figures for new PV installations in the second quarter of 2024. A total of 1,013 MW was installed between April and June, with 18 MW for storage facilities and 710 MW for self-consumption. France added 3.2 GW of new solar capacity in 2023, reaching a cumulative installed capacity of 21.1 GW by March 2024.
