French agency warns against unchecked reuse of secondhand solar modules

French environmental agency Soren, responsible for collecting and recycling solar panels in France, recovered 5,207 tons of solar modules in 2023. Nicolas Defrenne, the general director of Soren, mentioned the distribution of collected panels among regions of France. Soren is collaborating with Envie on a reuse line and emphasizing the importance of certification for used solar panels. The organization is advocating for a reuse fund and addressing risks in the sector.
