French winery combines solar carports with EV recharging

French renewable energy company Idex is deploying solar carports with EV charging stations at Bordeaux-based winery Cordier’s facilities in Languedoc, Gironde, and Aude, France. The projects utilize bifacial solar modules and emphasize sustainability with a significant percentage of energy for self-consumption. Idex plans to resell some of the electricity back to Cordier, highlighting a business model focused on competitive pricing and the economic benefits of oversizing installations from the outset.
